Note
I have been unable to find any record of the birth of Bert to Peter and Clara (nee Smith) Anderson, Mabel's parents. Peter Anderson was not Mabel's father she was born in 1880 to Clara and Robert Leitch (refer Mabel Smith birth record). Clara married Peter Anderson in 1884.
Although I have found a birth for Bert Henry Anderson at Naracoorte in 1905 with the mother Mabel Blanche Anderson and no father was recorded.
The family say a "travelling seed merchant" was Bert's father.
In the story of Kybybolite, Bert is mentioned as the youngest child of the widower Peter Anderson however Clara Anderson died in 1903, 2 years before Bert was born.
Peter Anderson is shown as the father of "Bertie Henry" in the entry of his marriage in 1935.
It is doubtful we will ever know who Bert's father really was. CW April 2007

Bert married Edna Susan WELCOME, daughter of Alfred James WELCOME and Wife of Alfred James Welcome UNKNOWN, on 27 Apr 1935 in St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Naracoorte, South Australia. (Edna Susan WELCOME was born circa 1910 in Not Known.)
