It seems likely some of their children had married/left home before the UK cenus of 1841 (I have found Martha and Catherine). Free BMD lists about 6 Carthew marriages at Redruth Cornwall after 1837. Parish records will be the only way to find if any of these were also children of Thomas and Martha.
