Death Free BMD ~ Web site I have found the record of Emma's death in the Dec Qtr of 1935 aged 64 years The death was recorded at Nottingham Vol 7b Page 357.
To date I have been unable to find the exact date of Emma's death in any online records. The Obituary which appeared in an unknown publication on a date not known appears below. CW 23.01.05
" A Respected Native, Mrs E Shelbourn,died in Nottingham Women's Hospital yesterday week. Deceased was the widow of Mr. G. Shelbourn who predeceased her in 1918, and was a keen church- woman and member of the Women's Institute. Signs of respect and sympathy marked the funeral at Denton on Tuesday, the Rev. O.C. Buss officiating. Family mourners included three sons and three daughters one son being absent in Canada."

Marriage Certificate The marriage of George Shelbourn, 25 years, Batchelor, "Ironstone Miner" of Denton to Emma Tinkler, 21 years, Spinster of Denton was performed by Rev John Jackson at The Wesleyan Methodist Chapel, Grantham on 24 Dec 1892. Their fathers were Robert Shelbourn and George Tinkler both "Farm Labourers". Witnesses were William Challands and Sarah Burton.
Marriage recorded in Grantham Vol 7a Page 1016 - Recorded in December quarter.
Sarah Burton witnessing this marriage suggests the Burtons and the Shelbourns had an association at that time. Robert Shelbourn and Gladys Burton did not marry until 1929, over 30 years later.
