" Former MLC dies suddenly
Former Liberal and Country League MLC, Gordon Gilfillan has died suddenly. He was 66.
Mr Gilfillan, a pastoralist from Jamestown, in the Mid - North, served as an MLC representing the Northern region during the 1960's.
He was mayor of Jamestown and had unsuccessfully contested the Ho sue of Assembly seat for Burra at the 1959 State election.
He was elected to the Legislative Council in 1962. Mr Gilfillan was party Whip and served on many committees, both in Parliament and in his community.
The Premier, Mr Tonkin said today Mr Gilfillan had served his State, and his community, very faithfully."

"Gilfillan funeral
The funeral of a former Liberal and Country League MLC, Mr Gordon Gilfillan will be held in Jamestown today.
Mr Gilfillan died suddenly on Tuesday, aged 66.
He was a member of the Legislative Council from 1962 to 1975.
The funeral service will be held at 4.30 p.m. at the Jamestown Uniting Parish Church with burial at the Jamestown Cemetery.
Mr Gilfillan is survived by his widow and three children."

Gordon married Catherine Rebecca GRIBBLE, daughter of Wesley Wycliffe GRIBBLE and Rebecca SMITH. (Catherine Rebecca GRIBBLE was born on 9 Dec 1917 in Bowhill, South Australia, died on 26 May 2001 in Wakefield Hospital Adelaide and was buried in Jamestown Cemetery, Jamestown SA.)
