The Marriage and Death records of Thomas' Burton's wife Lucy fits with a story Gladys Shelbourn told me about an Uncle of her's who married a woman who longed to have twins and died in child birth delivering twins. Gladys said Thomas never remarried and mourned for the rest of his days. I have two forks from their cutlery set - given to Gladys by Thomas because she was a favourite neice.
The 1891 UK census shows Thomas and Lucy Burton at house #39 of the cenus 42 Peverille Street, Hucknall, Nottinghamshire.
